Neon Splatter Party

Sharing this awesome Neon Splatter Party for my daughter's birthday a few months ago with most of the ideas coming from her including her cool splatter tablecover.

I worked with some amazing vendors that as usual help me bring all my ideas to live (and my kids ideas too!)

Starting with the invitation design by Tickled Peach Studio who also created a custom print for us in splatter design with my daughter's favorite quote as well as stickers for her favor bags. The 1D cakepops in neon colors from Sweet Whimsy Shop because she is a huge fan and I wanted to include it in the party (as a surprise to her) but using the colors of the party itself.

The cake was made by our friend Wendy Symons from Taste of Art by Wendy Symons and I spray painted a cakestand in yellow neon to match. The M topper was found at Michael's.

We had fun with the desserts. Funfetti cupcakes with hot pink icing, donuts with splatter fondant toppers by Love & Sugar Kisses; Chocolate Covered Oreos in neon colors by Sweet Temptations; Hot pink sweet popcorn from Oh Goodie Designs; Rock candy; Cookies by KJ Cookies and we filled up the lovely paint can boxes from Piggy Bank Parties with gumballs and other candy. The lovely and cheerful tassel garland as backdrop to the table is by The Flair Exchange.

I found the splatter and clear paint cans in plastic used as flower vases at Hobby Lobby. And metal white paint cans serving as dessert stands are from Michael's. We also made cones with neon cardstock for the popcorn. Love how everything came together!

Vintage Scuba

I styled this table this past weekend and I had to share as soon as possible because I loved, loved, loved how it turned out!  Julie at Sugar B's in Knoxville wanted to surprise her husband on his birthday with an office party and she told me he liked the color green, peanut butter and chocolate and he is into scuba and works in computers....I went for the Scuba theme!  I wanted to in turn give the table an older vintage look in order to keep the more masculine colors and this is what I came up with! I also included the name Calypso on the table inspired by Jacques Cousteau's boat.

My vendors are super cool to work on my ideas and I got inspired on weathered scuba flags and compass, on starfish cookies by Cookie Connection and believe it or not on a cake to create the cookies that KJ Cookies was so awesome to make for us!

Scuba color cakepops by Sweet Whimsy Shop just simply styled with brown sugar to simulate sand look beautiful on the table.

Other desserts were whoppie pies, brownies, strawberry cookies and peanut butter/caramel cupcakes.

Julie also baked a great shark cake for her husband and served the drinks in vintage bottles.  You can see the actual party set up at his office below!

Doc McStuffins Boxed Celebration {Party in a Box}

I had the pleasure of packing this little party on a box for my niece a couple of months ago and wanted to share it with you here on the blog too.  I put it all together inspired by a Doc McStuffins book (because my kids aren't little and I don't know much about the show) but I liked the idea of bringing stuff from the book to the table as you can see with the different cutouts.  To give it a handmade look I made a ribbon garland, found sequins fabric for a runner and mixed that in with supplies from Party City.  The Cookies were created by KJ Cookies and I used the mini cookie hearts to top the gummy bears in the candy cups.  Since the birthday was for a 2 year old I added Kix Cereal on the push ups instead of sweets.  Her mom had a cake made just for her matching her theme at home!

I made it all possible with:
1 shipping box
tablecover
runner
ribbon garland
signs/cutouts
table decor
favor bags
stands
buckets and platters for cookies
3 different food items: cookies, push ups and candy

Great idea to surprise anyone with any theme, any time!
