Chocolate Bunny

Hope everyone enjoyed a happy and blessed Easter weekend....We celebrated with a small dessert table themed "Chocolate Bunny".  For me, it doesn't take much to get inspired with a theme once I see an item I like...and I really liked the bunny in Sweet Bella's Easter Collection.  So I had Lori at Lori's Place create some cookies to match!  I made the yummy chocolate bundt cakes and picked up the rest at the store.

Well my son sure thinks those Chocolate Bunnies were delicious,
and I had so much fun creating a light ambience for our lunch. If you are on our local area of Knoxville, I'd love to help you set your tables for Mother's Day!

Spaceships and Laser Beams - Parties Just for Boys!

There's so many inspiration there for boys not only from their own parties and products
but also from all the spectacular boys parties they feature.

They call it a "No Princess Zone"....Cute!
They have an Etsy shop full of boys party collections
including, bugs, sports and many, many more!
Stephanie was so sweet to answer a few questions for us
and share with us a little about Spaceships and Laser Beams....
Read On!

These are only some of their boys party collections available on their Etsy shop!

Interview with Stephanie

In Flight: Who are the faces behind Spaceships & Laser Beams?

Stephanie: Spaceships and Laser Beams is an Etsy collective. We're a group of professional designers who have worked in the corporate world and have been itching to unleash our inner child.

In Flight: What came first, the blog or the shop?

Stephanie: The shop was first. The blog was a natural progression as there aren't really any out there dedicated solely to boys' parties. We wanted to have one place moms of little boys could go where they don't need to wade through pink fairy princess tea parties.

In Flight: What motivated you to make parties, just for boys?

Stephanie: We focus on parties for boys because sometimes it seems like everything adorable is for little girls. But parents of boys want to have some fun too. We call ourselves a no princess zone.

Thank you Stephanie and everyone at Spaceships and Laser Beams
for sharing with us!

Last Minute Easter Inspiration...Healthy Choices

Isn't this basket precious?  It reminds me of the beginning of
Fresh Market days...
and I think it would make a lovely Easter basket!

I came across this image on the recent issue of Phyllis Hoffman Celebrate Magazine,

and the next two pictures are also from an older edition;
and actually from a "Hundred Acre Wood" party!
I think it goes right along with Easter theme as well...

Beautiful set up for an Easter Brunch.
The open sandwiches on the last picture are made of
honey wheat bread, glazed baked ham, swiss cheese, and honey mustard;
garnished with spinach leaves.

I'll share with you the recipe on the magazine for a Rabbit's Garden Herb Dip picture above!

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup mayonnaise
 1/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons ranch seasoning and salad dressing mix
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
3/4 teaspoon minced fresh garlic

In the work bowl of a food processor, pulse cream cheese until smooth.
Add mayonnaise, sour cream, and dressing mix;
pulse until combined.
Add dill, parsley, chives, and garlic; pulse until combined.
Serve with fresh vegetables. Store covered in refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Enjoy!

Meeting Lori from Lori's Place

I had the pleasure of meeting Lori at Lori's Place while visiting Florida
a couple of weeks ago; she is the sweetest!
The place smelled so good and there was so amazingly beautiful cookies
being decorated....I was in a heaven!

I have been doing business and exchanging emails with Lori
(like 2 to 3 times a week)
since November last year, when she made some custom cookies
for my daughter's Book Lovers 16th Birthday Party. And we loved them!
But more than that, I loved that she 'got' my idea and brought it to life.

I just love this business, and the creative people at Etsy!

You can contact Lori on Etsy,
find a link to her shop here on our blog as Preferred Vendor,
or give her a call at 954-615-7680
