Are you ready kids?!!
My daughter Tiana's 18th birthday was celebrated with one of her favorite things...Spongebob. Only we 'de - constructed' the party by giving it a Spongebob-like feel without the character itself....until the end, where we finished we some delicious Bee's Knees Creative's Cookies shaped in Spongebob 'things' like the pants, the red tie, white shirt, glasses, eyes and of course....a sponge itself for favors!
Laura at Eye Candy Event Details created a great invitation for us along with a Subway Art Print and Birthday sign. The subway art print included sayings from Spongebob captured by my daughter Tiana and we then used them as tags for the cute favor bags.
We used the main colors of spongebob and the ocean for the party. Decorated with flowers and votives for a more adult feel to the decoration and Tiana suggested we included the krabby patty's secret recipe in a bottle in the decor...cute!
An amazing Krabby Patty cake was created by Regina Long at Rosa's Catering in Knoxville.
You can definitely have a de-construted party including your favorite things from a character or movie or specific theme and still make it classic and inviting. I like the simplicity of it, yet we still had a nice decorated room and all coordinating details of a party.
