What a sweet occasion to celebrate such important people in our life and the lives of our children. Grandparents Day is celebrated on September and this party is especially dedicated to all those loving grandparents showing us love everyday and to those who now watch over us and are alive in our memories.
I was lucky enough to have this lovely shoot published on Polkadot Balloon Magazine for their Fall issue and now I get to share it here with you here! You can also see other ideas for Grandparents Day on my Pinterest Board especially for Grandparents Party.
You'll find a place setting for each Grandma and Grandpa and an array of desserts, fruit and treats to be shared with the grandchildren.
I can't say enough about the cake idea! MJ Tabush sent me the most beautiful toppers for the cake including edible picture frames of the grandparents and flowers. I found a cake at the grocery store which was perfect but small. The idea came to me to place it on top of a round cardboard box also styled to match the cake. My favorite part is the way all the colors look together on that cake.
Another idea I liked was using newspaper, or in this case gift wrap that resembles newspaper and using that as a place mat on the setting. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy! Maybe you'll remember to get a sweet treat for the grands the next time the kids are off to visit...
