Yellow 4th of July Inspiration

For some reason, I LOVE including yellow with the flag colors to decorate and celebrate in July 4th.  It makes it different, it makes it brighter and it gives it a bright sun shiny feeling.

Tropical Inspiration

I'm planning a personal celebration for next month,

a Wedding Anniversary Party!

{19 years!!}

So, it might not seem as a special milestone...

but it is my favorite number!

For as long as I remember and because I was born on a 19th (October), it has been my favorite number and I look forward to the 19ths of every month because I like those dates.  As a girl I looked forward to my 19th birthday more than I did to my Quinces (Special Celebration on a hispanic girl's 15th birthday).  I will probably make a big deal when my kids turn 19, with God's blessing.

 BUT NOW, I'm celebrating 19 years with the hubby....

hoot hoot!!

OHH, you all KNOW that's not easy... we've been blessed!

And yes, I'll probably have a party next year for the 20th {although we'll also have a celebrating high school graduate by then} and again at 25th maybe... (We already celebrated the first 10 in style a few years ago).  What can I say, I'm a party girl!

So my inspiration and our celebration will be

TROPICAL!

It's all good! {Grilling Inspired Table}

Sharing with you a simple dessert table I made for the hubby for Father's Day this past weekend. 

I've been wanting to work with this natural color combined with red and already had the runner and the burlap ribbon that went into making the candle holders.  The sign with the "It's all good" saying it's from a gift we gave him a few years back as its kind of an inside joke....those make the best memories!

I thought grilling tools mounted on a canvas background would be perfect for his small table as it's what he enjoys (and what we had for dinner!) but being that I was not going to find some cute enough tools I decided to purchase inexpensive ones and spray paint them.  I've been inspired by my friend Jenny at Crossing the Bugger-Dixon Line to spray paint lately....did it with my outdoor furniture too!

The desserts were all items he enjoys and consisted of some Cakey Chocolate Chip Cookies I made for him, Cheesecake flavored white chocolate mustache pops one of our daughters made, Cream Cheese Brownies from our local bakery: Rita's and his favorite on Father's Day....maple bacon cupcakes from Magpies in Knoxville.

Perfect colors for a man's table, simple on decoration and just the right amount of desserts....with a statement saying!
