Woodland Holidays by In Flight and Truly Chic Inspirations

I have joined a lovely party friend on this styled shoot, who also happens to love owls and forest friends as much as I do and we are excited about working together!  Melissa, of Truly Chic Inspirations inspired me with her woodland topper flags available on her shop Tag Me Chic.  I knew a Holiday shoot with these cute elements would be just lovely. They inspired a warm, cozy theme that not only can be carried out through the holidays but anytime of the year with the rustic and distinctive feel of the woods.

Woodland Fox Dessert Table

I shared an inspiration with you last week on this Woodland Fox Table I was creating for my son's School.  The auction at the school went great and now I'm sharing with you the table, which I re-created at home for this shoot.

I was inspired to create the table using these lollipop favors from Simple Tastes

and the wonderful Regina Long at Rosa's Catering matched the fox theme with this lovely cake for us

Karen at KJ Cookies also matched the design with some awesome cookies

Ollie Tolly's Naturally Sweet Treats spelled fox for us with their delicious chocolate shortbread cookies.

I had fun making these toppers with fondant to simulate mushrooms and the fox toppers are also part of the Simple Tastes Woodland Collection.

Biscottis and green gum balls added to the dessert list.  I enjoyed not only using turquoise in the color palette for this table but also adding apples as a woodland icon.

the little mushroom cookies are also a great addition by KJ Cookies.

I worked with everything I already owned and had at hand; from the fabric for the banner to the decor on the table and tablecovers.  All the fun was in adding the food items to an already wonderfully decorated table. When I presented the table for auction at the school (which by the way, the winner gets a totally different theme of their choice) the kids there loved the wooden colored pencils more than they did the desserts...so cute!  I found those at a local gift shop and they were the last ones but I'm sure some browsing online will get you to find some too!

Woodland Fox Inspiration

This is what I'm working on this week!  A fabulous table inspired on a woodland fox.  You might see more than a fox here, but for me it'll be just a fox, there's something cute about the character one. So when I had the chance to work on something this week that I could totally pick a theme for, I jumped at the chance to work on this one!   I'll be styling this table for my son's school and it's my second year helping out by donating a table for their annual fundraiser. I'm honored that they allow me to be a part of it.  There would be an auction and the highest bidder gets the win! The winner gets to pick the theme for their table but I love showing them my styling and ideas there at the school by styling one, especially for the event; in this case, this case the RED WOODLAND FOX!  We're excited to see who wins and see our cookies being created locally here in Knoxville by K J Cookies, and Olly Tolly's Naturally Sweet Treats  and cute fox cake by Regina Long at Rosa's Catering.
