We Three Kings Celebration

I have to proudly share with you my Dessert Table inspired around Three Kings Day.  The vibrant colors, the pleasing flavors and the entire inspiration and idea were created from my own childhood memories and my cultural traditions.
Tanya at Save the Date for Cupcakes featured our party on her amazingly sweet blog and I am so honored to share a link here.  Stop by and check out her blog for sweet inspirations!

Spiced Mexican Chocolate Cupcakes

Gingerbread Cupcakes with Mango Icing

I created the food labels myself with scrapbooking supplies, the Three Kings silhouettes and baked all the sweets too!
The fortune cookies were inspired by Charynn at Two Sugar Babies who shared a tutorial on her blog.
Recipes for the Cupcakes are shared here
 and here!

Thanks for stopping by!

For a little bit on the tradition:

Three Kings Day, or El Dia de los Reyes Magos, celebrates the biblical story of the three kings who saw a star appear in the sky on Christmas Day and followed that beacon to a livestock shed in Bethlehem, where they found, and worshiped, the newborn Jesus. The Three Kings were said to have taken 12 days to complete their journey, and they arrived with gifts. In the days before Santa Claus became the seasonal standard, that period was celebrated as the 12 days of Christmas. And in many cultures, traditional gift giving took place on Jan. 6, Epiphany, the day that the baby Jesus received his gifts from the Three Kings.
