Winter Valentine

I wanted to share with you my Valentine decor at home. I love blue for Valentine's Day and decided to decorate my living room with a Winter Valentine theme.

I started decorating for this month with blue, green and lavender shades using Christmas decorations for the 'wintery' theme and the lovely print is from Le Papier Studio. Even added white feathers for the 'in flight' touch!

For today, Valentine's Day, I added goodies for us to enjoy with these wonderful Xs and Os Cookies from KJ Cookies.

Happy Valentine's Day, enjoy a sweet day and stay warm!!

Paper Airplanes Birthday

I love packing a party and taking it up on the road with us...

for my son's 9th birthday, he didn't want to have a big party but rather spend a weekend away with just the 5 of us; we relaxed, we celebrated, we had fun and ..... we still had a party!

Here's how we celebrated, with a theme very familiar to him at the moment; he is into paper airplanes, and if you follow my blog since last year you already know he is a little traveler at heart.

So here we go taking off....flying!

He picked the colors himself: mustard yellow, royal blue and a bit of orange

Kori at Paper & Pigtails was so wonderful to customize her Paper Airplane Printable Collection with Joel's preferred colors.

And the amazingly creative Brittany of Edible Details matched the design perfectly with edible toppers!

Check out the incredibly looking cookies by Bee's Knees Creative; I'm so excited about Renee's work matching the design of the labels as well with the different cookies and clouds even!

My good friend Wendy Robinson, painted Paper Airplanes on serving plates for us...so cute!

Tile cookies by Ollie Tolly's Naturally Sweet Treats, I love those!

Travel supplies for favors, and at Joel's request.....Orange Milk!

I challenged myself into making oreo pops with paper airplanes on top...loved how they came out!

Our wonderful cake and cupcakes are from Rosa's Catering, and Regina did such a great job creating a cake we had sketched for her using different shapes.  Joel sent her 2 designs and had her choose 1 for his cake which he did not see until we picked up the cake.  Regina combined the two designs and I love the paper airplane on top...he loved it too!

He wrote on the labels himself, including his favorite cookies...Chocolate Covered Oreos by Sweet Temptations.

Janet also worked with us to match the cookies to his color palette and he liked this 'Happy Birthday' design because "it's cursive'!

Joel helped plan his dessert table and made the paper airplanes for decor himself...

Angilyn at Simple Tastes made the cutest tiny paper airplanes to go on her lollipop favors for us...

I know you want to know about the stunning...Custom Tassel Garland by Carmen at The Flair Exchange! ; find them here!

Happy May Birthday to my baby boy! We had a great weekend...

Beach Wedding Styled Shoot

This beach inspired Wedding Photo Shoot is a collaboration I was
delighted to work on with Shannon Kelley Photography in Knoxville.

Shannon was inspired by the beach to style a stylish wedding tablescape meantfor a small celebration with light green, blue and sand shades.  She wanted to include bottles, seaglass and shells.

I styled the table with ivory linens to represent the sand and provide us with a light canva. From there I added the sea glass bottles, shells, starfishes, votive holders with the accent colors we wanted to work with. While keeping the place settingin light shades, the accent colors in the place cards, favor fans and the back of the chairs combined the beach inspiration we wanted to present.

I wanted to add a small dessert to include our beautiful ocean inspired
cake and just the right amount of sweet, a rock candy stick!
The dessert table colors are the opposite of the guest table inverting the
colors around to simulate the ocean. The ocean with it's message bottles,
rocks, shells, starfish and even pearls.

Amanda Cursaro at Baci Designer created a beautiful and delicate wedding invitation suite
as well as table numbers, menu napkin rings and place cards.

for a centerpiece variation, we also used the bottles only...take a look!
